Macarena is an artist who draws inspiration from the many places she has visited and lived, including London, Houston and Sydney. She incorporates the unique colours of the landscapes, oceans, and skies she has seen around the world into her work, and expresses herself in classical form in a variety of ways, ranging from large impressionistic landscapes and waterscapes to fun, quirky illustrations.

Macarena expresses emotion deftly using reflections and light allowing the viewer to 'step into the painting' and write his/her own paragraph. In the same way, her drawings are intuitive and expressive. Macarena believes children see magic, a quality she infuses into her drawings with humour and charm.
