Cassie McDonald is a children’s book author from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. A lifelong passion for literature and becoming a mother of two was the driving force behind her pursuing her dreams of becoming an author. Although a relatively ‘new kid on the block’ Cassie has been working hard over the past 3 years to develop her skills and expertise.

 

She is a member of SCBWI and various online writing groups and also enjoys immersing herself in the kidlit community where she can. Cassie is proud to have her work published in the recently released children’s anthology “Hot Diggety Dog - Tales from the Bark Side” produced by Share Your Story and took great delight in helping the organization to raise much needed funds for charity.

 

Her debut Picture Book is due to be released with Daisy Lane in late 2025 and with a vision to create beautiful stories that empower and inspire children we are sure this won’t be the last you hear of her!

When Cassie isn’t envisioning up new characters or reading to her two little bookworms, you can find her either tending to her menagerie of animals or riding her horses through the magical Australian bush.
