Dympna Kennedy, the founder of Creating Balance, is a champion of common-sense parenting solutions that stand the test of time. Her organisation focuses on supporting
parents and early childhood educators who understand the crucial role of the first 1,500 days in building a solid foundation for life.

Emphasising the power of nonverbal communication, Dympna teaches practical and easy to implement techniques that lead to a deeper connection with your child, fostering a sense of calm and contentment. She believes that when children feel heard, valued, and that they matter, they thrive.
Dympna's expertise is widely recognised, having presented at Resourcing Parents (Families NSW), The Early Childhood Association, The Australian Nanny National Conference, and the National Conference of The Australian Infant Mental Health Association, among others. She has also collaborated with the City of Canada Bay on their
'Let's All Play Strategy.'
Co-author of two insightful books—#Remote Working! when daycare and the classroom return home, and 'Woman Leading,' where she explores leadership in the home— Dympna's contributions to the field have earned her the Family and Children's Services' Award for Excellence.
Hailing from Derry, Northern Ireland, Dympna currently lives in Sydney with her husband and two sons, where she continues to provide practical and realistic, support for parents who want to better co-parent, align their parenting styles, to give their child the best possible start in life.
