Jennifer Horn is a Brisbane-based illustrator and children’s writer. Her debut picture book “The Precious Plum” was released in 2021 amongst some very musical live book launches. Her illustrations and short stories have appeared in children's and young adult anthologies from Share Your Story and Rhiza Edge.

 

With a background in Architecture, Jen draws on her love of travel, stories and adventure to create whimsical illustrations. She has also been a part of Art Department teams on several Brisbane-based films. Jen enjoys reading books over local community station Reading Radio, and playing accordion in the eclectic and diverse ensemble Matt Hsu's Obscure Orchestra.

The Boy From The Sea, penned by Marisol Hernandez and Daniel Mulvihill, is Jennifer's second book. Released June 2023 in honour of Refugee Week.
